Our Shelduck Photography is an existing client in Minehead who wanted to sell their professional photography online. They wanted to integrate PayPal in order to take card payments. PayPal charge 3.4% and 20p per transaction. We also suggest clients use https://stripe.com/gb. Stripe charge 1.4% per transaction and 20p, both systems have no monthly charges.
For this eCommerce photography project we used a combination of WordPress and the industry standard Woo Commerce plugin. WordPress allows you to update the websites content, including the home page and other static pages, whereas woo commerce plugin provides the shopping cart functionality.
The Woo Commerce systems allows you create your own product categories and product options such as sizing and colour options. We used product options on this project to allow customers to select different photo options, including print only, mounted or framed. The product price changes according to the selection.
